About the Role

Our client, a major manufacturer in the automotive supply chain, is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join their growing team in Torreón, Coahuila . This critical role focuses on ensuring the durability, longevity, and dependable performance of our automotive components and systems. The adecuado candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of failure analysis techniques, and experience in implementing reliability-focused design and testing methodologies. You will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify potential failure modes, implement preventative measures, and drive continuous improvement in product reliability. This position offers the chance to impact product quality and customer satisfaction significantly.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute reliability test plans and protocols for automotive components.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for returned products or field failures.
- Implement reliability engineering tools and methodologies such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis).
- Analyze test data and field data to predict product reliability and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to incorporate reliability considerations into product development and production processes.
- Develop and maintain reliability databases and reporting systems.
- Define reliability targets and ensure products meet these objectives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in reliability engineering.




- Provide technical expertise and guidance on reliability-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with automotive reliability standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency with reliability analysis tools and software (e.g., Minitab, ReliaSoft).
- Strong understanding of FMEA, FTA, HALT/HASS testing, and other reliability assessment techniques.
- Experience in failure analysis and root cause determination.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and statistical skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
- Fluency in Spanish; working knowledge of English is beneficial.
