About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Production Engineer with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing principles to join their facility in Puebla, Puebla . This role is crucial for optimizing production processes, enhancing efficiency, and maintaining high-quality output in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing current production methods, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that reduce waste and increase productivity. A deep understanding of assembly line operations, process flow, and continuous improvement techniques is essential. Key Responsibilities

- Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement using Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
- Develop and implement new production strategies and layouts to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Monitor production output and quality metrics, implementing actions to meet targets.
- Work closely with production line operators and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving.
- Oversee the implementation of new equipment or technologies on the production floor.
- Train production staff on new processes, safety procedures, and Lean principles.
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times.




- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards in the production area.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on product design for manufacturability.
- Manage and maintain production documentation and performance reports.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in production engineering within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience in optimizing assembly lines and production processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing systems and equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Experience with process simulation software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spanish is required; English language skills are beneficial.
- Availability to work a hybrid schedule in Puebla, Puebla , with occasional on-site presence required.
