About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and meticulous Environmental Cleaning and Sanitation Coordinator to oversee cleanliness and hygiene standards across their various operational sites. This role is crucial for maintaining a healthy and safe environment for employees and visitors, ensuring compliance with all sanitation regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing cleaning protocols, managing sanitation supplies, training staff, and conducting regular audits. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sanitation, hygiene management, or environmental health, with excellent organizational and communication skills. While the operational sites are located in and around Tuxtla Gutiérrez , this specific role offers flexibility, allowing for a significant portion of the work to be managed remotely. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive cleaning and sanitation programs across all designated facilities.
- Ensure adherence to established hygiene, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and sanitation equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Train cleaning staff on proper techniques, safety procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to assess cleanliness, identify potential hazards, and ensure compliance.




- Investigate and address any sanitation-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, inspection findings, supply inventories, and staff training.
- Liaise with external vendors and regulatory bodies as needed regarding sanitation and waste management.
- Promote a culture of hygiene and safety awareness among all staff members.

Requirements

- Proven experience in cleaning management, sanitation, public health, or environmental services.
- Solid understanding of cleaning procedures, disinfection techniques, and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and liaise with staff and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Flexibility to travel to operational sites in the Tuxtla Gutiérrez region as needed.
