About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Trabajador Social Comunitario de Campo to serve the communities of Acapulco, Guerrero . This role is fundamental in connecting vulnerable individuals and families with essential social services, resources, and support networks. You will be on the front lines, engaging directly with community members to understand their needs, provide guidance, and facilitate access to programs that improve their quality of life. The position requires extensive fieldwork, building trust, and fostering strong relationships within diverse neighborhoods. Your work will directly contribute to addressing social challenges and promoting well‑being in the region. This is a hands‑on role for someone passionate about making a tangible difference at the community level.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct outreach activities to identify individuals and families in need of social services. Perform social assessments to determine client needs and eligibility for programs. Provide direct case management services, including support, counseling, and advocacy. Assist clients in accessing community resources such as healthcare, education, housing, and employment. Develop and implement small‑scale community intervention programs. Facilitate workshops and information sessions on relevant social topics. Maintain accurate and confidential client records and prepare regular progress reports. Collaborate with local authorities,



community leaders, and other service providers. Respond to community needs during emergencies or crises. Promote client empowerment and self‑sufficiency.

Requirements

Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in social work, community outreach, or case management. Strong knowledge of social issues and available resources in the Acapulco area. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse populations. Experience working in community settings and conducting fieldwork. Proficiency in basic computer skills and record‑keeping. Resilience, empathy, and a strong commitment to social justice. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is highly desirable.
