About the Role

Our client, a respected urban planning and design firm based in Toluca, State of Mexico , is seeking a creative and experienced Arquitecto Paisajista to lead innovative landscape design projects. This role involves the design, planning, and management of outdoor spaces, integrating ecological principles with aesthetic considerations to create functional, sustainable, and beautiful environments. You will work on diverse projects, including public parks, plazas, residential developments, and corporate campuses, collaborating with architects, engineers, and urban planners. The adecuado candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in sustainable design, site analysis, planting design, and hardscape detailing. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the green spaces of Toluca and the wider State of Mexico .

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of landscape architecture projects from concept to construction documentation.
- Conduct site analysis, including evaluation of topography, soil conditions, climate, and existing vegetation.
- Develop master plans, conceptual designs, and detailed drawings for parks, plazas, campuses, and other public/private spaces.
- Select appropriate plant species based on environmental conditions, aesthetic goals, and maintenance requirements.
- Design hardscape elements, including paving, retaining walls, site furniture, and water features.
- Integrate sustainable design principles, such as water conservation, stormwater management, and use of native plants.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, architects,



engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise site implementation and construction phases, ensuring projects are built according to design intent.
- Stay current with landscape architecture trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
- Licensed Landscape Architect in Mexico, or eligible for licensure.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in landscape architecture design and project management.
- Proficiency in landscape design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of horticultural principles, planting design, and ecological systems.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and certifications (e.g., LEED).
- Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and client relationships.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
