About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Analista Financiero Senior de Retail to join their finance department in Morelia, Michoacán . This critical role will be responsible for providing in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making within the retail operations. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and performance metrics specific to the retail industry. You will work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
- Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing explanations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and insights.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales, profitability, and operational costs within the retail segment.
- Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, promotions, and strategic decisions.
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates and recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and assist department heads in managing their budgets.




- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement within the retail operations.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests and special projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably with a focus on the retail industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial software (ERP, BI tools).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
