About the Role

Our client, a leading agricultural enterprise in Michoacán, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Avocado Cultivation Supervisor to oversee and optimize their extensive avocado farm operations. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of agricultural best practices, crop management, and team leadership within the Morelia region. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage all daily activities related to avocado cultivation, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease control, and harvesting.
- Develop and implement strategic crop management plans to maximize yield, quality, and profitability.
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of farm workers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and work quality standards.
- Monitor crop health and growth, identifying potential issues and implementing timely corrective actions.
- Oversee the efficient use of resources, including water, fertilizers, and pesticides, promoting sustainable farming practices.
- Maintain detailed records of farm activities, yields,



expenses, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop budgets and forecasts for the cultivation department.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and environmental standards.
- Implement and monitor new agricultural technologies and techniques to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in agricultural supervision, with a strong focus on avocado cultivation.
- Proven experience in managing and leading farm labor teams.
- In-depth knowledge of avocado physiology, soil management, pest/disease control strategies, and harvest techniques.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems (e.g., drip irrigation) and fertilization programs.
- Strong understanding of sustainable and organic farming principles.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and basic agricultural data analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a field environment, including varying weather conditions and long hours during peak seasons in Morelia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
