About the Role

WhatJobs Direct is searching for an accomplished and strategic leader to fill the role of Director de Sinistros e Indemnizaciones de Seguros for our client in Tuxtla Gutiérrez . This senior leadership position requires a comprehensive understanding of claims management, loss adjusting, and indemnification processes across all lines of insurance. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire claims department, ensuring efficient, fair, and timely resolution of claims while managing costs and maintaining high customer satisfaction. The idóneo candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep knowledge of insurance law and procedures, and a proven ability to manage large teams and complex operations within the seguros sector. This is a critical on-site role requiring full dedication to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic plans for the claims department to enhance efficiency and customer service.
- Oversee all aspects of claims processing, investigation, and settlement.
- Manage and mentor a team of claims adjusters, supervisors, and support staff.
- Ensure claims are handled in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Control claims costs through effective negotiation, fraud detection, and efficient resource management.
- Monitor claims trends and identify areas for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external parties, such as legal counsel and repair services.
- Prepare regular reports on claims performance, key metrics, and financial impact.




- Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction throughout the claims experience.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company within the seguros market.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in insurance claims management.
- Extensive knowledge of various insurance lines (auto, property, life, health, liability).
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex operations.
- Strong understanding of insurance law, regulations, and claims best practices in Mexico.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
- Proficiency in claims management software and systems.
- Strategic thinker with a commitment to operational excellence and customer service.
