About the Role

Our client, a dynamic agricultural producer in Northern Mexico, is looking for a detail-oriented Técnico Especializado en Suelos y Fertilizantes to support their operations near Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua . This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal soil health and nutrient management, which are critical for maximizing crop productivity and quality. The successful candidate will conduct field assessments, perform laboratory analyses, and recommend precise fertilization programs. This position offers a blend of field work and laboratory responsibilities, contributing to the sustainable intensification of agricultural practices. You will be an integral part of the agronomic team, working collaboratively to address the specific challenges and opportunities presented by the local environment. The goal is to enhance crop performance through scientifically informed soil management strategies, ensuring long‑term soil fertility and minimizing environmental impact. Key Responsibilities

- Collect soil samples from various fields using standardized procedures and maintain accurate sample tracking.
- Perform laboratory analyses on soil samples to determine nutrient levels (N, P, K, micronutrients), pH, organic matter, and texture.
- Interpret soil analysis results and develop tailored fertilizer recommendations based on crop requirements and soil conditions.
- Advise farm managers on the types, amounts, and timing of fertilizer applications.
- Monitor the effectiveness of fertilization programs and adjust recommendations as needed.
- Conduct plant tissue analysis to assess nutrient uptake and diagnose potential deficiencies or toxicities.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of soil conservation practices.




- Maintain accurate records of all soil and tissue test results, recommendations, and application data.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in soil science and nutrient management.
- Collaborate with the crop protection team to ensure integrated management strategies.

Requirements

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Chemistry, or a related agricultural science field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in soil and plant tissue analysis and fertilizer recommendation.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment and analytical procedures for soil and plant analysis.
- Strong understanding of plant nutrition and soil chemistry.
- Ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in relevant software for data management and analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Familiarity with agricultural conditions in Chihuahua is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
