About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a remote-first Especialista en Automatización de Líneas de Producción to join their innovative team. Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement automated control systems for manufacturing equipment and production lines.
- Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues remotely, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external vendors to select appropriate automation technologies and components.
- Develop technical specifications and documentation for automation projects.
- Conduct research on new automation technologies and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated systems.
- Provide remote technical support and training to site-based operations teams.




- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for further automation and optimization.
- Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in at least one major PLC programming software suite.
- Experience with robotics programming and integration is a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
- Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to a remote team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a remote-first or fully remote capacity.
