About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Foreman for Civil Works, specializing in Concrete and Steel, to join their construction team in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas . This role is essential for the day-to-day execution of construction tasks, ensuring that work is performed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications. The idóneo candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience in concrete placement, finishing, rebar installation, and structural steel assembly. You will be responsible for leading a crew of construction workers, coordinating tasks, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe working environment on site. This is a hands‑on leadership position crucial for project success.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a crew of construction workers involved in concrete and steel structural work.
- Direct the placement, finishing, and curing of concrete structures.
- Oversee the installation and assembly of reinforcing steel (rebar) and structural steel components.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
- Operate and oversee the use of construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the site supervisor or project manager regarding work priorities, material needs, and schedule adherence.
- Perform quality checks on work performed, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship.
- Maintain a safe worksite,



enforcing safety regulations and reporting any hazards.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to crew members.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks within the project schedule.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Foreman or similar leadership role in civil construction.
- Significant hands‑on experience with concrete work (forming, pouring, finishing) and steel erection.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to construction sites in Chiapas .
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Experience operating basic construction machinery is a plus.
- Commitment to quality and safety.
