Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop complex dies, molds, and tooling for various manufacturing applications, ensuring precision and optimal performance.
- Utilize advanced CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for tooling components.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA) to analyze stress, strain, and thermal behavior of tooling under operational loads.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production teams to ensure tooling designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and maintenance.
- Select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes for tooling to maximize durability and lifespan.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues, identify root causes of failures,



and implement design modifications to resolve problems.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in tooling technology, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs, and process guidelines for tooling.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in the design of dies, molds, and tooling for manufacturing.
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) with a strong understanding of GD&T; principles.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, injection molding, forging) and their associated tooling requirements.
- Experience with material selection and heat treatment processes for tooling.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with simulation software for tooling design analysis is a plus.
