About the Role

Our client, a prominent hospital network, is seeking a diligent and meticulous Hospital Pharmacist with a focus on Dispensing and Pharmacovigilance to join their esteemed team in Morelia, Michoacán . This role is integral to ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications to patients within the hospital setting, as well as actively monitoring and reporting adverse drug events to enhance patient safety. You will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately dispense medications based on physician prescriptions, ensuring correct dosage, route, and form.
- Review patient profiles for potential drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and therapeutic duplications.
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and storage.
- Maintain meticulous records of all dispensed medications and inventory.
- Actively participate in the hospital's pharmacovigilance program by identifying, documenting, and reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
- Investigate suspected ADRs and collaborate with healthcare providers to manage and mitigate them.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of medication safety initiatives and protocols.
- Participate in pharmacy and therapeutics committee meetings as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.





Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Químico Farmacéutico Biólogo).
- Valid and current pharmacist license issued by the relevant authorities in Mexico .
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with an emphasis on dispensing and clinical services.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, and patient safety principles.
- Experience with or a strong understanding of pharmacovigilance principles and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and patients.
- Proficiency in pharmacy information systems and electronic health records.
- Commitment to patient care and medication safety.
