About the Role

Our client, a dynamic force in the hidrocarburos sector, is looking for a proactive Ingeniero de Seguridad Industrial y Procesos to join their team. This position, primarily remote, will focus on enhancing safety protocols and ensuring process integrity across various operational sites, with a key focus on supporting activities relevant to Tlaquepaque, Jalisco . The role demands a meticulous approach to risk assessment, hazard identification, and the implementation of robust safety management systems. As a remote contractor, you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule while ensuring critical safety standards are met and continuously improved. We are seeking an expert in safety regulations and best practices within the demanding energy industry, ready to contribute to a secure and sustainable operational framework.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA) for industrial processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety management systems (SMS) in compliance with national and international standards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations in the hidrocarburos industry.
- Perform safety audits and inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.




- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety performance and compliance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial safety and process safety management, preferably within the hidrocarburos or chemical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards (e.g., OSHA, API), and best practices.
- Proven experience with risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable delivering training remotely.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent are highly desirable.
