About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Ingeniero de Planeación Minera to join their team in Toluca, State of Mexico . This role is crucial for developing and executing strategic mine plans, focusing specifically on operations involving ore washing and leaching processes. The adecuado candidate will possess a strong background in mine engineering, with expertise in planning sequences that optimize mineral recovery through these specific metallurgical methods. You will collaborate with geological, metallurgical, and operational teams to ensure integrated and efficient mine planning. This position requires a blend of analytical planning from the office and understanding of on-site operational needs in the vicinity of Toluca .

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed short-term and long-term mine plans, incorporating washing and leaching stages. Design mine layouts, including access, ore handling, and waste disposal strategies. Utilize mine planning software to create production schedules and optimize resource utilization. Coordinate mine planning with metallurgical teams to ensure feed quality for leaching processes. Perform technical and economic evaluations for mine development and expansion projects. Ensure mine plans comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with operations personnel to implement plans effectively and address challenges. Prepare comprehensive reports, including production forecasts, resource depletion schedules, and cost estimates.



Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in mining efficiency and recovery. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on planning methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in mine planning and operations, with specific experience related to ore preparation and leaching. Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Vulcan, Surpac, Deswik). Strong understanding of mining methods, geological principles, and mineral processing, particularly leaching. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Effective communication and reporting skills. Must be willing to work on-site in Toluca, State of Mexico , and travel occasionally to other operational sites. Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
