About the Role

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a highly specialized and dedicated Coordinador de Limpieza Hospitalaria y Control de Infecciones to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and infection prevention within their facilities in Mérida, Yucatán . This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of environmental services, developing and implementing stringent cleaning protocols, and working closely with infection control teams to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be instrumental in upholding the facility's commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive cleaning and disinfection protocols specific to healthcare settings, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and manage the environmental services staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with the infection control department to identify risks, develop strategies, and monitor compliance with infection prevention measures.
- Conduct regular environmental rounds and inspections to assess the effectiveness of cleaning procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage the inventory and budget for cleaning supplies, equipment, and specialized disinfection agents.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of regulated medical waste.
- Provide ongoing training to staff on infection control principles, chemical safety, and the correct use of equipment.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in healthcare environmental cleaning, disinfection technologies,



and infection control best practices.
- Investigate and resolve any cleaning-related issues or patient/staff concerns promptly.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of facility-wide safety and emergency preparedness plans.

Requirements

- Proven experience in environmental services management within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare-specific cleaning protocols, disinfection agents, and infection control principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., NOMs, COFEPRIS) related to healthcare sanitation and waste management.
- Experience in staff supervision, training, and performance management.
- Strong understanding of budget management and inventory control.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or a related field is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field is a plus.
