About the Role

Our client, an innovative and growing fashion house located in the culturally rich city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas , is searching for a talented and creative Diseñador de Moda to lead the development of unique and inspiring collections. This role requires a visionary individual with a keen eye for trends, an understanding of textiles and garment construction, and the ability to translate creative concepts into commercially viable fashion lines. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from initial sketches and mood boards to final product development, ensuring alignment with the brand's aesthetic and market positioning. We are seeking a passionate designer who can contribute to the vibrant fashion scene in Chiapas .

Key Responsibilities

- Conceptualize, design, and develop original fashion collections for various market segments.
- Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards for each collection.
- Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials, considering quality, cost, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and sample sewers to create prototypes and ensure accurate fit and construction.
- Oversee the production process, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Research current fashion trends, market demands, and competitor activities.
- Develop collection themes, color palettes, and fabric stories.
- Present designs and concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.




- Contribute to brand storytelling and marketing initiatives related to collections.
- Stay informed about advancements in fashion technology and sustainable design practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably with a focus on ready-to-wear or a specific market segment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design talent, technical skills, and understanding of garment construction.
- Proficiency in fashion illustration and CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D).
- Excellent knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of color theory, trend forecasting, and market analysis.
- Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for sustainable fashion practices is a plus.
