Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of multiple homeless shelters, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and enhance the living conditions for residents.
- Manage shelter staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure the safety and security of shelter facilities and residents,



implementing emergency protocols as needed.
- Coordinate with external agencies and service providers to connect residents with essential resources (healthcare, employment, housing).
- Manage shelter budgets, including resource allocation, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders, donors, and volunteers.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate supplies for shelter operations.
- Monitor resident intake and exit processes, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained.
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and report on key performance indicators.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in management, with at least 3 years in operations within the social services or homelessness sector.
- Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing multiple sites or programs.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in data collection and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
