About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Coordinador de Eventos Deportivos de Lujo to oversee the planning and execution of high-profile sporting events in the vibrant city of Acapulco, Guerrero. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event logistics, from venue selection and vendor negotiation to on-site management and post-event analysis. Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and execute all logistical aspects of sporting events, ensuring seamless operations.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability.
- Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best services and pricing.
- Oversee event setup, on-site coordination, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies for events to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Liaise with sponsors, stakeholders, and VIP guests to ensure their needs are met.
- Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear direction and support.
- Conduct post-event evaluations,



gathering feedback and preparing comprehensive reports for future improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and legal requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning and coordination, with a strong focus on sports events, preferably in a luxury context.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work versátil hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
