About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Especialista en Desarrollo y Vinculación Comunitaria to lead their initiatives in Toluca, State of Mexico . This role is essential for fostering strong relationships with local communities, identifying needs, and implementing impactful social programs. The position requires a dedicated individual who can actively engage with residents, local organizations, and authorities to build trust and facilitate collaborative solutions. You will be responsible for the design, execution, and evaluation of projects aimed at improving the quality of life and socio-economic conditions within the communities we serve. This role demands a proactive, on-the-ground presence to effectively bridge the gap between community needs and organizational support.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement community development strategies and projects.
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with community members and leaders.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and situational analyses within target communities.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and participatory activities.
- Develop partnerships with local government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of community development initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports on project activities, outcomes, and challenges.
- Advocate for community needs and facilitate access to relevant resources and services.
- Manage project budgets and ensure responsible use of funds.




- Contribute to the overall strategic planning and operational goals of the organization in the region.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in community development, social work, or a related area.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of social dynamics, local governance, and development challenges in State of Mexico .
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and evaluation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field-based environment.
- Proficiency in standard office software and data management tools.
- High level of integrity, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to social justice.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and work adaptable hours as needed.
