About the Role

Our client, a dynamic manufacturing entity in Zapopan, Jalisco , is seeking an experienced Contador General with a strong specialization in industrial costing. This role is integral to understanding and optimizing production costs, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis. The idóneo candidate will possess a robust understanding of cost accounting principles, variance analysis, and financial reporting within a manufacturing context. This position offers a Hybrid work model, allowing for a collaborative office environment combined with the flexibility of remote work, situated in the thriving business hub of Zapopan, Jalisco .

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and methodologies.
- Analyze production costs, variances, and overhead absorption.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and control procedures.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cost analysis summaries.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into cost drivers.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards (NIFs).
- Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.




- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Industrial Engineering with a strong accounting focus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years focused on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in cost accounting principles, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of inventory costing methods (FIFO, Weighted Average).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to adapt to a Hybrid work environment, demonstrating accountability and time management.
- Experience within the industrial sector in Jalisco is a plus.
