About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Gerente de Proyectos de Construcción to oversee significant building projects in Mérida, Yucatán, MX . This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of construction endeavors from initiation to completion. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and quality control, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This hybrid position requires regular on-site presence for crucial project phases, complemented by remote work flexibility for administrative and planning tasks. We are looking for a leader who can inspire project teams and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient project progress.
- Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project performance and identify potential risks.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and risk assessments.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.




- Resolve any on-site issues, conflicts, or delays promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all local building codes, regulations, and permits.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on commercial or residential projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing budgets exceeding $5 million MXN.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and standard office software.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes relevant to Mérida, Yucatán, MX.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Experience in managing hybrid work arrangements and coordinating remote team members effectively.
- Must be able to travel to project sites as needed.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
