About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Especialista en Procesamiento de Minerales to join their state-of-the-art facility in Querétaro City, Querétaro . This role is crucial for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of mineral processing operations, ensuring maximum recovery of valuable commodities. The adecuado candidate will have a strong background in metallurgical processes, a deep understanding of chemical and physical separation techniques, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex operational challenges. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and implementing best practices in mineral processing, contributing significantly to the profitability and sustainability of our client's operations. This position will involve a combination of on-site work at the plant and remote analysis, requiring adaptability and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and optimize mineral processing flowsheet designs.
- Monitor and control plant operations to ensure efficient and safe production.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in recovery, grade, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct metallurgical test work to evaluate new processing technologies and reagents.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and health and safety standards within the processing plant.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to achieve production targets.
- Prepare detailed reports on plant performance, metallurgical results,



and recommendations for improvement in Querétaro City, Querétaro .
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in mineral processing technology.

Requirements

- Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral processing operations, with a focus on base metals or precious metals.
- Proven expertise in comminution, flotation, leaching, or other relevant metallurgical processes.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimMet).
- Experience with data analysis tools and statistical process control.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to travel to mine sites and potentially work flexible hours as needed.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental best practices in a processing plant setting.
