About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and empathetic Coordinador de Alcance y Apoyo Psicosocial to lead community outreach and support services in Mérida, Yucatán . This hybrid role requires an individual passionate about connecting with vulnerable populations, assessing their needs, and connecting them with vital resources. The successful candidate will be adept at building trust within the community, coordinating outreach efforts, and providing essential psychosocial support. This position is fundamental to enhancing the well-being and resilience of individuals and families in the Mérida region, balancing field work with office-based planning and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to identify and engage vulnerable individuals and families.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments to understand client needs and challenges.
- Provide direct support, counseling, and referrals to appropriate social services.
- Coordinate with local organizations, health centers, and government agencies to facilitate access to resources.
- Organize and conduct awareness campaigns and educational workshops on mental health and social well-being.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure confidentiality of information.
- Monitor the effectiveness of outreach programs and psychosocial support services.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and refine program strategies.




- Represent the organization at community events and meetings.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in community outreach, psychosocial support, or social services.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting needs assessments and providing direct support.
- Strong understanding of psychosocial issues and community dynamics in Mérida .
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in case management and client record-keeping systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Adaptability to a hybrid work environment, involving both fieldwork and office-based tasks.
- Knowledge of local resources and referral networks.
