About the Role

Our client, a prominent logistics company operating extensive fleets, is seeking a skilled Automotive Fleet Maintenance Technician. This role combines hands-on work at our facility in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco with some remote administrative responsibilities, offering a hybrid work model. You will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and safety. The adecuado candidate has a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, excellent diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and reliability for our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty components, ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities using the company's fleet management software.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any safety concerns or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding workshop operations and vehicle maintenance.
- Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and supplies.




- Communicate effectively with fleet managers regarding vehicle status and required repairs.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive technology is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, electronics, and diagnostics.
- Experience with fleet maintenance is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and automotive repair software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, including some time on-site in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
