Our client, a pioneering agricultural technology company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Agriculture and Agricultural Data Analysis Specialist. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere. The core mission of this role is to harness the power of data and digital tools to drive efficiency, sustainability, and profitability in agricultural operations across Mexico. You will be instrumental in collecting, processing, analyzing, and interpreting vast amounts of agricultural data from sources like sensors, drones, satellite imagery, and farm management software. Your insights will guide critical decision‑making for our clients, leading to optimized crop management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, and process diverse agricultural datasets from various sources (IoT sensors, drones, weather stations, farm management systems).
- Develop and apply statistical models and machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics in areas such as yield forecasting, pest/disease outbreak prediction, and optimal resource management.
- Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design and implement digital agriculture solutions, including precision farming tools and automated decision support systems.
- Collaborate with agronomists, farmers, and other clients to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.




- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and data analysis methodologies for agricultural applications.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant privacy regulations.
- Contribute to the development of scalable data infrastructure and analytical platforms.
- Stay current with advancements in agricultural technology, data science, and artificial intelligence.
- Provide training and support to clients on using digital agriculture tools and interpreting data.

Requirements

- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agricultural Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, with a significant portion focused on the agricultural sector.
- Proven experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of agricultural principles, crop science, and farming practices.
- Experience with agricultural datasets, including remote sensing (satellite/drone imagery), sensor data, and GIS.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- A passion for applying technology to solve real-world agricultural challenges.
