About the Role

Our client, a highly respected architectural firm with a strong commitment to community impact, is seeking an experienced Arquitecto de Proyectos Educativos y Culturales to join their practice in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. This role is focused on designing and overseeing the development of educational institutions (schools, universities) and cultural facilities (museums, theaters, community centers) that are innovative, inspiring, and responsive to the needs of their users and communities. The adecuado candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique requirements of these building typologies, prioritizing functionality, accessibility, sustainability, and aesthetic quality. You will be a key player in shaping environments that foster learning, creativity, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architectural design process for educational and cultural projects from conceptualization to construction completion.
- Develop design proposals that meet specific functional, programmatic, and pedagogical needs.
- Collaborate with educators, cultural stakeholders, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and presentation materials.
- Ensure designs comply with educational standards, accessibility requirements, and cultural preservation guidelines where applicable.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies relevant to educational and cultural facilities.




- Oversee construction administration to ensure projects are built according to design intent and quality standards.
- Stay informed about best practices and innovations in the design of learning and cultural environments.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience with a significant portfolio in educational and/or cultural projects.
- Demonstrated experience in leading project design and development.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of the specific design considerations for schools, universities, museums, theaters, etc.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and client management skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable design strategies relevant to public facilities.
- Ability to manage complex projects and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Licensed architect in Mexico.
- Portfolio highlighting expertise in designing educational and cultural facilities.
