Key Responsibilities

- Create scientifically accurate and aesthetically compelling medical illustrations for publications, presentations, websites, and mobile applications.
- Interpret medical and scientific briefs, consulting with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Illustrate anatomical structures, surgical procedures, disease processes, and scientific concepts.
- Develop visual concepts and storyboards for complex medical topics.
- Work with vector and raster graphics software to produce high-resolution digital illustrations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Illustration or a related field (e.g., Fine Arts with a strong focus on scientific illustration).
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a medical illustrator.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) and other relevant illustration software (e.g., 3D modeling software is a plus).
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Exceptional drawing, composition, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to work from complex scientific data, diagrams, and written descriptions.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
