Our client is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Demand and Supply Planning Engineer to join their logistics and supply chain team in Zapopan, Jalisco . This critical role involves forecasting product demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of automotive components. You will work closely with sales, production, and procurement teams to align supply with demand, optimize inventory costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. The idóneo candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience with demand planning software, and a solid understanding of supply chain principles within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for automotive products using historical data and market intelligence.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional activities and new product launches into forecasts.
- Manage inventory levels across various warehouses to meet service level targets while minimizing carrying costs.
- Plan and coordinate material requirements based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and components.
- Identify and address potential supply chain disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for demand planning and inventory management.
- Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower costs.




- Utilize advanced planning software and ERP systems to support planning activities.
- Prepare regular reports on demand, supply, and inventory performance for management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Proven experience with demand forecasting techniques and tools.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning software.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of lean principles in supply chain management is a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; basic English knowledge is beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Zapopan, Jalisco .
