About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce and logistics company, is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Remote Route Optimization Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical for enhancing the efficiency of our delivery network across Guadalajara, Jalisco and surrounding areas, with the flexibility of a fully remote position. You will be responsible for analyzing vast amounts of data to design the most efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries, minimizing fuel consumption, and maximizing driver productivity. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and refine optimal delivery routes for our fleet using advanced routing software and algorithms. Analyze delivery data, including traffic patterns, customer locations, delivery windows, and vehicle capacities, to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with local dispatch teams to ensure smooth implementation of optimized routes and provide real-time support. Monitor route performance and driver adherence, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions. Stay updated on the latest advancements in route optimization technology and logistics best practices. Generate comprehensive reports on route efficiency, cost savings, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.



Propose innovative solutions to address logistical challenges and enhance overall delivery network performance. Provide training and support to dispatchers and drivers on utilizing routing tools and adhering to optimized plans.

Requirements

- Proven experience in route optimization, logistics planning, or a similar role, preferably within a delivery or transportation environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in route optimization software (e.g., RouteXL, Circuit, ONfleet, or similar) and mapping tools.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
