About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Especialista en Riesgos y Cumplimiento de Seguros to join their growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Mexico. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that our client's insurance operations adhere strictly to all relevant local and international regulations. This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust risk management frameworks and compliance programs. You will play a critical part in identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and devising effective mitigation strategies. We are looking for an individual with a sharp analytical mind, a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry's regulatory landscape, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct. This remote-first role requires excellent self-management skills and a proactive approach to communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive risk management policies and procedures for the insurance business.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential exposures and compliance gaps across all operations.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time.
- Develop and deliver training programs to staff on risk management and compliance topics.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and incidents.
- Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and update policies and procedures accordingly.
- Collaborate with legal, operations,



and underwriting teams to address risk and compliance concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of all compliance-related activities and documentation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISSP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit within the insurance sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Mexican insurance regulations (e.g., CNSF guidelines) and international compliance standards.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management and compliance programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory requirements clearly.
- Demonstrated experience in remote work environments, with excellent self-discipline and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using compliance management software and standard office applications.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
