About the Role Our client is seeking a talented Especialista en Seguridad de Aplicaciones (AppSec) to join their security team in a fully remote position. This role is critical for ensuring that applications developed by our client are secure throughout their lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance. The adecuado candidate will have a strong understanding of secure coding practices, application security testing methodologies, and experience integrating security into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will work closely with development teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and promote a security-first culture. Key Responsibilities Conduct security assessments of web and mobile applications.
Perform code reviews to identify security flaws and vulnerabilities.
Implement and manage application security testing tools (SAST, DAST, IAST).
Collaborate with developers to provide guidance on secure coding practices and remediation of vulnerabilities.
Integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
Develop and maintain security standards and guidelines for application development.
Stay updated on the latest application security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Respond to security incidents related to applications.




Conduct threat modeling for new application features and systems.
Contribute to security training for development teams.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience (3+ years) in application security, secure software development, or a related security role.
Deep understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and mobile security risks.
Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of secure coding principles and practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
Experience with cloud-native security principles is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with development teams.
Relevant certifications (e.g., GWAPT, GWEB, CSSLP) are a plus.
