Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists? Peterson School is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IGCSE Combined Science Teacher to engage students in the exploration of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics through inquiry-based learning, hands-on experimentation, and real-world scientific thinking.

This is a temporary position from March 2027 through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year.

What you’ll do:

- Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Combined Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
- Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE examinations, including Core and Extended tiers.
- Foster scientific literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through interactive learning experiences.
- Plan and facilitate laboratory activities that promote scientific investigation and safe laboratory practices.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and help students reach their academic potential.
- Maintain accurate academic records and communicate student progress with parents and school leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary projects and contribute to Peterson School's project-based learning culture.

Requirements:

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Medicine, Sustainability, or a related scientific field.
- Advanced or expert-level English proficiency, both written and spoken.




- At least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably with high school students.
- Experience teaching science subjects in English is highly desirable.
- Teaching certification or educational credentials are considered an advantage.
- Previous experience with Cambridge programmes (IGCSE) is desirable but not required.
