The Role
We are seeking a Client Accounting Manager to own the books and monthly close for a portfolio of client companies at a US CFO advisory firm, working remotely from Mexico.
You will lead the area's people and its day-to-day results, reporting to the Controller or VP of Finance, while staying hands-on whenever the close or an audit needs it.
What You'll Own
Client closes.
Close the books for several client companies each month.
Client reporting.
Prepare monthly financial packages and commentary.
Onboarding.
Onboard new clients.
Client communication.
Answer client questions directly.
Portfolio oversight.
Oversee a portfolio of client engagements.
The team.
Lead, review, and develop a team of accountants,



setting clear standards for quality and timeliness.
Controls.
Design and maintain the controls and approval workflows for your area, and fix gaps before an auditor finds them.
What We're Looking For
8+ years of accounting experience
Experience leading accountants and owning the review of their work
Experience closing the books for more than one company at a time
US GAAP experience, or strong NIF (Mexico) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and NetSuite
Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification
Preferred
Contador Público Certificado (CPC), US CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (completed or in progress)
Experience at an outsourced accounting or CFO advisory firm
Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
