The Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own the month-end close and core financial reporting at a US manufacturing company, working remotely from Mexico.
You will own your workstream end to end with light review, working directly with the Controller or Accounting Manager. Where the process relies on manual workarounds, you will be expected to fix it rather than repeat it.
The role sits close to the parts of the business that make a US manufacturing company different,



so the accounting and analysis reflect how the sector actually works.
What You'll Own
The close.
Prepare and own month-end close tasks, including accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Financial statements.
Prepare the P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow support under US GAAP, and explain material movements.
Journal entries.
Record recurring and non-recurring entries with support a reviewer can follow.
Inventory and COGS.
Close inventory, standard cost, and COGS, including variance analysis.
Physical counts.
Support cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
Audit support.
Prepare the PBC schedules for your areas and answer auditor questions directly.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of accounting experience
Experience owning a workstream through the close without day-to-day supervision
Solid accrual accounting fundamentals and experience preparing financial statement support
Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing company
US GAAP experience, or strong NIF (Mexico) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero




Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification
Preferred
Contador Público Certificado (CPC), US CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (completed or in progress)
Big 4 or public accounting experience, or experience serving US clients
Experience with NetSuite manufacturing, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP Business One
Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
