About the Role Our client, a progressive animal welfare organization with a nationwide network, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Especialista en Adopciones y Bienestar Animal to join their fully remote team. This vital role focuses on facilitating successful animal adoptions, providing support to adoptive families, and advocating for the highest standards of animal welfare. You will work closely with shelter staff, potential adopters, and veterinary professionals to ensure animals find loving, permanent homes and receive the best possible care throughout their journey. - Manage the animal adoption process, from initial inquiry to post-adoption follow-up.
- Screen adoption applications and conduct interviews with potential adopters to ensure suitability.
- Provide counseling and support to adoptive families, addressing behavioral and care-related questions.
- Develop and implement adoption marketing strategies to increase visibility and successful placements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of animals, adopters, and adoption statistics.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure animals are healthy and prepared for adoption.
- Develop educational materials and resources for adopters on responsible pet ownership and animal behavior.
- Advocate for animal welfare issues and promote humane treatment within the community.




- Assist in managing foster home networks and providing support to foster families.
- Stay informed about best practices and legal requirements related to animal adoption and welfare.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal welfare, shelter operations, or animal adoption programs.
- Proven experience in counseling or client support roles.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior, health, and welfare standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mediation skills.
- Proficiency in animal management software and standard office applications.
- High level of empathy, patience, and dedication to animal well-being.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management.
- Experience in marketing or social media promotion for animal adoptions is a plus.
