About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Systems Optimization Engineer to join their team remotely. This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency, throughput, and overall performance of production systems across multiple locations, with a significant focus on operations in Mexicali, Baja California . You will leverage advanced analytical techniques and process engineering expertise to identify bottlenecks, design solutions, and implement improvements that drive significant gains in productivity and cost savings. This is a fully remote position for a self-driven professional.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze complex production systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.

Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve process flow, resource utilization, and throughput.

Design, model, and simulate production processes to evaluate potential improvements before implementation.

Utilize advanced statistical methods and data analytics tools to interpret performance data and identify trends.

Collaborate with on-site engineering and operations teams at various locations, including Mexicali , to implement and validate optimization solutions.

Develop and document best practices and standard operating procedures for optimized production systems.

Lead projects focused on implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance production efficiency.

Provide technical guidance and support to remote and on-site teams involved in production operations.

Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on system performance,



identified issues, and proposed solutions.

Stay current with industry advancements in production systems, automation, and optimization techniques.

Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.

Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in production systems optimization, process engineering, or operations research.

Expertise in mathematical modeling, simulation, and statistical analysis.

Proficiency with simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and optimization solvers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to tackle complex operational challenges.

Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing principles and discrete event simulation.

Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate remotely.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting.

Experience with large-scale manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Familiarity with data visualization tools.
