About the Role

Our client, a global leader in telecommunications infrastructure, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network and Communications Engineer to join their fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and cloud networking components.
- Architect and implement secure and reliable communication solutions utilizing technologies such as VPNs, SD-WAN, and MPLS.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT stakeholders across different regions to define network requirements and provide strategic technical guidance.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect critical assets.
- Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies to enhance capabilities and performance.




- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and support staff within the distributed team.
- Participate in on-call rotation to address critical network incidents as needed.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture, with a strong emphasis on large-scale enterprise environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, firewalls, and network security best practices.
- Proven experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SD-WAN solutions.
- Strong understanding of voice and video communication systems and protocols.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in a remote setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a distributed team structure.
- Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or cloud-based networking certifications are highly preferred.
