About the Role Our client, a renowned organization dedicated to sustainable agricultural practices, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Biólogo de Conservación Agrícola (Agricultural Conservation Biologist) to join their innovative, fully remote team. This role is crucial for advancing biodiversity conservation within agricultural landscapes and promoting ecologically sound farming methods. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing strategies that integrate conservation efforts with productive farming operations, particularly focusing on regions like Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas . The adecuado candidate will have a strong background in biology, ecology, conservation science, and a deep understanding of agricultural systems and their environmental impacts. This is a unique opportunity to contribute remotely to the critical mission of harmonizing agriculture and nature.
Key Responsibilities Research and develop conservation strategies that benefit biodiversity within agricultural settings. Assess the impact of agricultural practices on local ecosystems and wildlife. Design and implement projects focused on habitat restoration, pollinator support, and the protection of beneficial organisms in farming areas. Develop guidelines and best practices for sustainable agriculture that enhance ecological resilience. Collaborate with farmers, researchers, and conservation organizations to promote integrated approaches. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation initiatives using ecological survey methods and data analysis. Stay current with scientific literature, conservation policies, and innovative agroecological techniques.



Prepare reports, publications, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations. Advise on land management practices that support both agricultural productivity and biodiversity conservation.
Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Biology, Ecology, Conservation Science, Environmental Science, or a related field with a focus on agricultural systems. Minimum of 6 years of experience in conservation biology, agroecology, or environmental management related to agriculture. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing conservation projects. Strong understanding of ecological principles, biodiversity assessment, and landscape ecology. Knowledge of agricultural systems and their environmental interactions. Experience with field research methodologies, data collection, and analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting. Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
