About the Role Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Compliance Lawyer to bolster their legal team in Monterrey, Nuevo León . This role is central to ensuring the company operates ethically and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to our business, with a proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of proactively identifying risks and recommending effective compliance strategies. This position operates on a Hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote flexibility and essential in-person collaboration at our Monterrey, Actual León offices.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program.
Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Draft and update compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Provide training to employees on compliance matters.
Investigate potential compliance violations and recommend corrective actions.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
Advise management on compliance-related issues and best practices.




Stay informed about emerging compliance trends and challenges.
Ensure data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, local regulations).
Requirements Law degree (LLB or JD) from an accredited university.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in compliance, corporate law, or regulatory affairs, with a strong focus on compliance frameworks.
Admitted to practice law in Mexico.
Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
In-depth knowledge of relevant national and international regulations (e.g., anti-corruption, data privacy, financial regulations if applicable).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
Proficiency in English is a significant advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a Hybrid setting, balancing remote and in-office duties in Monterrey, Nuevo León .
High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
