Key Responsibilities

Perform fiber optic cable installation, including aerial, underground, and internal cabling.

Execute fiber optic splicing (fusion and mechanical) with precision and efficiency.

Terminate fiber optic connectors and prepare cables for connection.

Test fiber optic lines using OTDR, optical power meters, and other relevant equipment.

Diagnose and repair fiber optic network faults and damages.

Interpret network diagrams and technical specifications.

Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and company quality guidelines.





Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and documentation.

Adhere strictly to safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in telecommunications or electronics is a plus.

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with fiber optic installation and maintenance.

Proven ability in fiber optic splicing and termination techniques.

Experience operating and interpreting results from OTDR, VFL, and power meters.

Understanding of fiber optic network principles and components.

Ability to read and understand technical documentation and blueprints.

Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

Physical ability to work in various conditions, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Willingness to work versátil hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
