About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contador Senior to join their dynamic team in Culiacán, Sinaloa. This is a critical role that will involve overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The adecuado candidate will possess a strong understanding of Mexican tax laws and financial reporting requirements. We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills and a proven track record in managing complex accounting functions. The role is based in our client's Culiacán office, providing a stable and collaborative work environment. You will work closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and local regulations.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure internal controls are effective.
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.




Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management to improve profitability and efficiency.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth annual audit process.
Manage cash flow and banking relationships.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting principles (NIFs) and tax regulations (ISR, IVA).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Quick Books, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
Familiarity with audit procedures and internal controls.
