We are seeking a Senior Production Test Development Engineer to lead the architecture, development and deployment of production test systems for our residential and commercial products. Our products integrate electromechanical systems, embedded electronics, RF technologies, Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi®, sensors, motor controls, and cloud-connected capabilities.

This role serves as a key link between Product Development and Manufacturing, ensuring new products can be launched rapidly, manufactured efficiently, and delivered with exceptional quality. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a strong business orientation, driving improvements in test coverage, throughput, yield, and time-to-market through scalable, data-driven manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and implementation of automated manufacturing test systems for residential and commercial garage door openers and accessories.
- Establish production test strategies that optimize quality, throughput, cost, and manufacturability while supporting aggressive product launch schedules.
- Champion Design-for-Test (DFT) principles throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring testability requirements are incorporated early and effectively.
- Architect and deploy scalable programming, provisioning, and configuration solutions for microcontrollers, wireless modules, including security credentials and connectivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing test cycle times, increasing manufacturing throughput, and improving first-pass yield.
- Develop standardized, reusable test platforms, software frameworks, and fixture architectures that accelerate future product introductions and reduce development costs.
- Leverage manufacturing and quality data to identify trends,



eliminate failure modes, improve product reliability, and enhance operational performance.
- Establish robust manufacturing analytics, dashboards, and reporting systems that enable data-driven decision making across engineering, operations, and quality functions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership to ensure successful product launches and production readiness.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience developing and implementing automated manufacturing test systems in high-volume production environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Embedded systems and firmware programming
- Wireless technologies
- Electronics manufacturing and functional test systems
- Electromechanical products, sensors, motors, and controls
- Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and production automation
- Manufacturing software development and test architecture
- Proficiency in one or more industry-standard development environments, including Python, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand, SQL, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience using manufacturing data to drive measurable business results.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per hour
