Electronics Design EngineerApply: Mexico, Reciente León, San Pedro Garza Garcia: Full time: Electronics Design EngineerFunctional objectives: Technical responsibility for electronic (sub-)projects or serving as an electronic technical specialist. Responsibility: Electronics design, testing, and verification ownership on several energy storage product areas to ensure all requirements and development processes are satisfied, with minimal guidance. Solid electronics expertise in automotive embedded electronics with ability to solve complex problems. Main Tasks:• Review customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory standards and internal design guidelines to establish product electrical requirements. • Performs the requirement analysis and validation planning activities in accordance with automotive functional safety and ASPICE processes with minimal guidance. • Performs design verification activities such as engineering analysis, simulation, design reviews, DFMEAs, validation testing and reporting in accordance with automotive functional safety and ASPICE processes with minimal guidance. • Creates core and customer electronic circuit designs covering analog, digital, micro-controller architecture, and power supplies with minimal guidance. • Generates technical requirements of electrical architecture and electrical circuit design, components and sub-assemblies including PCBA, contactors, fans, temperature sensors, Flex PCBs and other electrical hardware. • Generates hardware / software interface specifications and electronic test software requirements, working closely with the embedded software engineering team. • Design and test for vehicle level electrical and electromagnetic performance per customer requirements. Optimize the electrical system design to balance cost, performance, mass, volume, and energy efficiency. • Participates in electrical design analyses and test results reviews in support of design verification. • Define test setups, plans,



and execute tests for electrical circuits and components. • Provides support for Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders. • Supports technical investigations and resolutions of electrical component and circuit issues. • Assists in the design for manufacturability (DFM) to ensure that the design is optimized for manufacturing processes. • Actively participate on assigned project teams and tasks with other engineering discipline• Participant in engineering development meetings and occasionally provides direction to assist others in development tasks. • 5-9 years of professional engineering experience in related field OE Automotive/Tier 1 embedded electronics design experience Proficient in the use of electronic design and development tools, including schematic capture, layout, analysis, and simulation Experience with electronic circuit debug and test Experience with requirement management tools Proficient in the use of electrical engineering equipment such as power supplies, DMM's, and oscilloscopes Collaborative across multiple engineering disciplines Knowledgeable of automotive test methods, standards, equipment, and certifications Expert knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet and associated development toolsExperience with Li-Ion battery managementAbout Clarios:Clarios is the global leader in advanced, low-voltage battery technologies for mobility.
