Discovery Specialist - Family Law (On-Site | Guadalajara, Mexico)
The Discovery Specialist plays a crucial role in the pre-trial phase of family law cases, ensuring that all required financial disclosures and legal documentation are accurately collected, organized, and communicated to clients.
This is an on-site position located in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
This role is idóneo for professionals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of spoken and written English, as daily communication with U.S.based attorneys and clients is required.

Key Responsibilities1.
Client Introduction & Education
- Serve as the primary Discovery Specialist for assigned family law cases.
- Educate clients on the family law discovery process, emphasizing the importance of accurate and timely financial disclosures.
- Explain mandatory deadlines, including the 45-day financial disclosure requirement after service.
2.
Initial Discovery Meeting
- Conduct in-person or virtual discovery meetings with clients.
- Identify the type of family law case and specific client needs.
- Review documents thoroughly with clients, using printed copies when necessary.
- Clearly outline all required financial documents and information.
3.
Financial Document Collection & Organization
- Collect, review, and organize:
- Financial Affidavit (FA)
- Child Custody & Maintenance Documents (CCMD)
- Supporting financial documentation
- Ensure all information is complete, accurate,



and properly documented.
4.
Follow-Up Discovery Meetings
- Schedule and conduct follow-up meetings ** minutes).
- Review missing or incomplete documentation.
- Update:
- Financial Affidavit (FA)
- Child Custody & Maintenance Document (CCMD)
5.
Client Communication & Case Coordination
- Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication with clients.
- Send updated discovery documents after each meeting.
- Coordinate closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure compliance and deadlines are met.
6.
Client Support & Training
- Provide clear explanations of legal forms and financial requirements.
- Guide clients through their responsibilities and timelines.
- Share training materials, including instructional videos, to ensure accurate completion.
7.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve internal discovery workflows.
- Contribute to improving client experience and operational efficiency.
- Stay current on family law discovery procedures and updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced or conversational English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent client communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Guadalajara.
- Experience in legal, administrative, or client-facing roles is a plus (family law preferred but not required).
Pay: $14,** - $16,** per month
