About the Role

Our client, a major national logistics and distribution company, is seeking an experienced and strategic Traffic and Transportation Network Manager to oversee their operations in San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí . This vital role involves the planning, execution, and optimization of all transportation activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery across their network. You will be responsible for managing carrier relationships, optimizing routes, monitoring fleet performance, and implementing strategies to enhance the overall transportation network. The idóneo candidate possesses a deep understanding of logistics management, strong analytical skills, and proven leadership capabilities in a high-volume transportation environment. This position requires a proactive approach to managing complex logistics challenges and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic transportation plans to meet company objectives and customer requirements.
- Manage and optimize the company's transportation network, including route planning, load optimization, and carrier selection.
- Oversee daily traffic operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods and on-time deliveries.
- Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with transportation carriers and providers.
- Monitor carrier performance and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency gains.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.




- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, manage data, and generate performance reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to align transportation strategies with business needs.
- Lead and mentor the traffic and transportation team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

- Extensive experience (5+ years) in transportation management, logistics, or network operations.
- Proven track record in managing complex transportation networks and optimizing logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, carrier management, and rate negotiation.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Must be able to work on-site in San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí .
