About the Role

Our client, an esteemed organization dedicated to preserving architectural heritage, is seeking a specialized Arquitecto de Rehabilitación y Conservación Patrimonial to join their team in San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí, MX . This critical role involves the assessment, planning, and execution of projects focused on the restoration, conservation, and adaptive reuse of historic buildings and sites. The adecuado candidate possesses a deep understanding of historical construction techniques, materials science, and relevant conservation principles, coupled with a strong technical aptitude for architectural documentation and intervention strategies. You will work closely with heritage authorities, engineers, and craftspeople to ensure the sensitive and effective preservation of valuable cultural assets. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed surveys and condition assessments of historic buildings and structures.
- Develop conservation plans and intervention strategies in accordance with heritage guidelines.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports for restoration projects.
- Oversee and manage the execution of rehabilitation works, ensuring adherence to conservation principles.
- Collaborate with materials specialists, conservators, and structural engineers.
- Liaise with national and local heritage bodies to obtain necessary approvals.
- Research historical building techniques, materials, and original construction methods.




- Advise on the adaptive reuse of heritage structures while maintaining their integrity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant conservation charters and legal frameworks.
- Document all phases of the restoration and conservation process.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Heritage Conservation or Restoration.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural conservation, restoration, and heritage management.
- Proven experience in assessing and intervening in historic buildings.
- Strong knowledge of historical building materials, construction techniques, and degradation causes.
- Familiarity with international and national conservation charters and standards.
- Proficiency in architectural drawing and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant Mexican heritage laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate diverse teams.
