About the Role

Our client, a prominent organization advocating for women's rights and gender equality, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Asesor(a) de Derechos de las Mujeres y Equidad de Género . This role, based in San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí, MX , will focus on providing expert advice, developing policy recommendations, and implementing programs to advance gender equality and combat gender-based violence. You will work closely with local authorities, community groups, and women's organizations to foster systemic change and empower women. This is a vital opportunity to contribute to social justice and women's empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical expertise and policy advice on issues related to women's rights and gender equality.
- Develop and implement strategies and programs aimed at promoting gender equity and empowering women.
- Conduct research and analysis on gender-related issues, challenges, and opportunities in the region.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns on gender equality and women's rights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, NGOs, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and legislation that advance gender equality.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of programs and initiatives related to gender equality.
- Assist in fundraising efforts by contributing to proposals and reports related to gender programs.
- Advocate for the implementation of gender-sensitive approaches in public policies and programs.




- Provide support and guidance to women experiencing discrimination or violence.
- Stay informed about national and international frameworks and best practices in gender equality.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Political Science, Law, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on issues of women's rights, gender equality, or gender-based violence.
- Demonstrated experience in program development, policy analysis, or advocacy.
- In-depth knowledge of feminist theories, gender mainstreaming, and human rights frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in facilitating workshops and public speaking.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the social and political context concerning women's rights in San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí, MX .
- Commitment to promoting gender equality and social justice.
- Fluency in Spanish required; English proficiency is a strong asset.
