What you'll do
- Review automated month-end close work in QuickBooks Online and Digits, and catch what doesn't look right before it goes to the client.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and tie out the financials.
- Investigate discrepancies and figure out the why, not just the fix.
- Talk with US business owners over Zoom and email: walk them through their numbers in plain English.
- Help build and improve our AI and automation workflows.
What you bring
- 2+ years of paid bookkeeping or accounting experience. Internships and coursework don't count. This is not an entry-level role.
- Solid grasp of debits and credits, reconciliations, accruals and payroll.
- Advanced English (C1 or higher), spoken and written. You'll be on calls with US clients.
- Very comfortable with tech. You've used AI tools in real work.
- Self-managed and responsive, with regular overlap with US Pacific and Central business hours.
Nice to have
- Experience serving US small businesses or a US CPA firm.
- Familiarity with Karbon, Digits or Double.
