About the Role

Our client, a significant player in the Hidrocarburos sector, is looking for a skilled Ingeniero(a) de Instrumentación y Control to join their operational team in Puebla, Puebla . This role is essential for the design, implementation, and maintenance of sophisticated instrumentation and control systems that ensure the safe, efficient, and optimal operation of industrial processes. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong background in automation, control theory, and industrial instrumentation, with experience in the energy sector. You will be instrumental in maintaining and improving the control infrastructure that underpins our client's production capabilities in Puebla .

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement control strategies and systems for industrial processes, including PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Specify, select, and integrate various instrumentation devices (e.g., transmitters, sensors, valves) for process monitoring and control.
- Develop and maintain instrumentation and control system documentation, including P&IDs;, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and cause & effect charts.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation and control systems, implementing timely and effective repairs.
- Perform calibration and maintenance on instrumentation and control hardware.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to support project execution and operational improvements.




- Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in industrial automation and control.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency with PLC/DCS programming and configuration (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Emerson).
- Strong understanding of control theory, loop tuning, and process dynamics.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., HART, Modbus, Fieldbus).
- Knowledge of safety instrumented systems (SIS) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work on-site in Puebla, Puebla .
